JUST IN: Dialogue Remains The Best Option For Peace; DPO Kwale Division

The Divisional police officer in charge of Kwale Police Division Delta State CSP Edwin Igoche Okoh has said that dialogue is the best option for peace in any society.

He said this in an interview with newsmen shortly after being conferred with a Peace Award by the international Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) at the Divisional headquarters in Kwale Delta State.

Edwin said parties in a conflict must always sit at a round table to discuss their problem instead of resorting to violence.

He also said that violence in Niger Delta can only be resolved through dialoguing

According to him,"in Niger Delta and Nigeria atlarge, if there is any agitations from wherever and what soever, the most important and ultimate thing that will resolve that agitations is through dialogue and mediation "he said.

He said parties in a conflict must always find a common ground to resolve their conflicts

"To address the issue on a common ground because pro-activeness is better than reactiveness and if there is no peace, equity and justice can never prevail

'That is why the word equity justice and peace goes concurrently ''he said.

Okoh also advised his colleagues in the police force and other security agencies to always insist on dialogue while resolving crisis in the country 

"On insecurity in the state, well as I said the insecurity might come from different dimensions but common ground to solve insecurity is dialogue

"What is the cause of insecurity, why are people agitating, why are they carrying arms from one place to another, whatever their grievances, come to a common ground discuss with them and at the end arrived at a compromise and of course there is always a way of shifting ground '

He also advised those who resort to violence to always think of their families and members of their Communities before  harming others 

In his word," the most important thing is that you are not living for yourself alone but you are living for the entire people atlarge, so if you think of yourself, you must have to look back ways and think of other people.

"The most important thing about life is to live and lets live "he said.

Earlier on presenting the award, the spokesperson for the International Association of World peace Advocate ( IAWPA) Ambassador Dr. Emmanuel Nkweke congratulated CSP Edwin Igoche Okoh for being among persons across the world admitted into the United Nations.

He said the activities of the DPO has made Kwale division one of the safest in the country and disclosed plans by the organization to incorporate him into the proposed police peace campaign which will soon be flagged off by the organization.

Also speaking the international Director of the organization His Excellency Ambassador professor Chidi Ehiriodo confirmed the CSP Edwin Igoche Okoh as a peace maker and welcome him into the international community

He advised him to sustain the peace in the division and urged other police Divisional officers to emulate him.

According to the newsmen, His Eminence the newly Ambassador CSP Edwin Igoche Okoh Visited Owessi Primary School, in Kwale, Delta State and donated large volume of books to the school authority acting on SDGs goal 4, that talks about Quality Education.

While interacting with newsmen he said I feel so honoured for being appointed as an Eminent Peace Ambassador. As a Lawyer, not just a Police officer and Human Right Activist his Eminent has  proven to be a person of Peace in accordance  to the goal 16, which symbolize peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. He pleaded with the school to continue promoting peace and  up hold moral values and also promises to come back, to send more materials to get acrose every other students in Delta State. 

He shared notebooks, Erasers, Pen, Pencil, and others mathematical-Set to the schools all where received by the proprietor of the school Mrs Adeshina, to commemorate the International Day of the African Child 2023 that comes on the 16th June, 2023.

The International Spokesman, IAWPA charge the student of the Owessi Primary School With the SDGs slogan by saying " SDG,  student responded "Leave no one behind", this also added to the children's happiness which makes them pray for the Kwale Police Division Delta state  Command, for God divine protection and favour on him that coming to visit them has made them feel secure.

As a Global Diplomat and Eminent Peace Ambassador my advice and Encouragement to the Youths is to stay focus on their dreams and alway stay out of evil activities and be contained with what they have, stay calm around the neighborhood avoid sexual arrestment of the both sex. 

He also urge the younger generation to draw closer to Gods word and abide in it at all time. saying to the Youths, "if you believe you can change the world, do what you believe is right" . 

Success is not in what you have, but who you are. To do the impossible, you need to ignore the popular. Skill is only developed by hours and hours of work. 

Remind yourself that everything is still possible, even if you get frustrated. Just do what must be done. 

This may not be  Convenient but it will lead to your greatness. The universe has already given us everything we need to succeed; to achieve it, you must stay focus to God and do what is right.
