Police in Lagos Arrest Another Suspect With Locally-Made Pistol

The police in Lagos State have apprehended a young man who had a gun in his possession in the Ikoyi area of the metropolis. Patrol officers of Adeniji Adele Division spotted the lone rider on an unregistered scooter at Glover junction just after midnight.

Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, announced the arrest in a brief. “On searching his handbag, a locally-made semi-automatic pistol and a round of live ammunition was recovered”, the PRO said. Hundeyin added that the suspect had been moved to Police Headquarters in Ikeja for in-depth investigation.

An Honest Explanation of the Nigerian Civil War:

In April, a notorious gang was arrested with locally-made pistols.

The police later arrested the leader, Emeka Igwe a.k.a. Odogwu.

The 28-year-old was caught with three of the same type of pistol in a sting operation. The police command then confirmed that though the manufacturer was in prison, his products were in circulation.
Police smash five-man kidnapping gang, recover N4m
The Nigeria Police Force has smashed a gang of five suspected kidnappers allegedly terrorising the Mubi axis of Adamawa State. Operatives of the state police command rounded up members of the gang after the suspects allegedly carried out their last act of kidnapping a child and collecting N5 million ransom from the parents.

A statement released Friday by the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, said the suspects were arrested last Sunday, October 9, through an intelligence-driven operation carried out by the operatives of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB).

“Further to the Command’s renewed commitment to enhance proactive strategies in crime fighting, the Command had again on the 9/10/2022, disconnected a crime network connecting syndicate of five in Mubi North and Mubi South Local Government areas,” Nguroje Stated.

He added that the cash sum of N4,079,000 was recovered from the suspects, apparently what was left of the N5 million paid ransom.

“The outcome of this success followed a report received about the kidnapping of an 8-year-old Mustapha Aliyu Fadil in Mubi who was taken to Barassa Hotel at Maraba Mubi,” the PPRO stated.
He explained that after receiving the intelligence report, the Command promptly designed a strategy and apprehended Zaiyat Adamu, 19, a resident of Tashan Gella, Mubi South LGA; Abdulrahman Abubakar, 31, a resident of Shagari Low-cost, Mubi North LGA; Haruna Yakubu, 21, a resident of Kaban ward, Mubi North; Abubakar Muhammed, 20, of Angwan Ba-talaka, Mubi North; and Isa Musa 21, of Angwan Ba-talaka Mubi North.

“The suspects criminally conspired and whisked away their victim where they held him for two days and two nights until when a ransom of N5 million as demanded was paid to them before releasing their victim,” he added.

Nigerian Army arrest another soldier aiding terrorists [VIDEO]
The Nigerian Army has arrested another member of its personnel collaborating with terrorists.

The soldier has been identified as Iorliam Emmanuel, reportedly in his 30s and hails from Benue State.

Emmanuel is a member of the 156 Task Force Battalion (Operation Hadin Kai) in Mainok town. Mainok, 60km from the capital Maiduguri, is the headquarters of Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State. Emmanuel was caught with ammunition, concealed in a bag and clothing tied around his waist. A trending video shows colleagues exposing the bullets the suspect stuffed inside and underneath his uniform. He is expected to face court martial for sneaking military supplies to terror gangs.

The arrest was made months after a soldier was caught assisting Boko Haram/Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP). The Army said Lance Corporal Jibrin, an instructor, committed suicide while being escorted to the barracks. Intelligence had exposed Jibrin’s involvement in the killings at some relaxation spots in Yobe State in April. The attacks in Geidam and Gashua towns occurred within five days and claimed the lives of about 10 people.
